Honoring veterans Army veteran Robert Fanton and his grandson, Douglas Williams, look on as Cliff Smith installs the first batch of commemerative veterans bricks at the Isle of Wight Veterans Memorial in Smithfield. The first batch contained 12 bricks and more are on the way. The cost for a brick is $125, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the VFW Post 8545.
