Personal coffee pots are out at CH as energy-wasting

Some Isle of Wight County employees are grumbling about a series of energy saving initiatives approved by the Board of Supervisors.

Employees have had to remove personal coffee makers, printers, refrigerators and other items that use electricity in favor of putting those items in centralized areas.

The changes are expected to save about $15,400 annually, but some employees don’t think the savings are worth it in exchange for the impact it has had on morale.
