Looking at the elections for Commonwealth Attorney, I’m deeply disturbed that Georgette Phillips only asked for a 10-year sentence for someone who raped and impregnated a 13-year-old girl.

This is deplorable. I feel so bad for that young lady, to suffer the trauma of rape at 13, only to see justice in court that tried to rape her once again. The offender would have only served five years if Ms Phillips’ had gotten her way.  Disgusting.  Luckily the judge thought otherwise!

Then it occurred to me, if Ms Phillips does such a brilliant job as a prosecutor, why must she campaign with the sheriff in every event to get elected? In all my 72 years, I have never seen two candidates for two different jobs campaign together. Her record must be pretty awful that she can’t stand on her own two feet, and the rape case is just the tip of the iceberg.
