ELBERON — Frances Logan Appel, 84, passed away at home, Wednesday, November 4, 2015.  She was the daughter of the late Luther Aubrey and Minnie Lee Hart Logan.  

She is preceded in death by husbands William Edward Appel and Robert Crawford Jones. She leaves to cherish her memory, Carol Appel Elmore (Epes) and Janet Lee Appel (Patrick MacIntosh); son, Jesse Anton Appel (Janet J.); Katie Liddiard (Evan), Edward Appel, Jason Elmore, Jessica Elmore; and one great-grandchild, Vera Liddiard.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, Nov. 8, 2 p.m. in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Surry. Family and friends will gather at the church for visitation following the service.
