MACOMB ILL — Daniel Thompson, 56, passed away at 4:17 a.m. on Dec. 5, 2015 at his home in Macomb, Ill.

He was born in Macomb on July 25, 1959, the son of Gilbert and Barbara Heaton Thompson.

He is survived by one brother David (Jackie) Thompson of Macomb; one sister Terry (Edward) Rhinier of Hampton; a special longtime friend, Billy McKenny of Peoria, Ill.; good friends Rhonda (Scott) Pittman of Colchester, Ill., Luan Aten of Macomb, Dale (Samantha) and Madison “Midge” Adams of Colchester; and four pets, Fire, Salem, Winston and Nancy.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

After Dan graduated from high school, he went on and attended cosmetology school and served Macomb with his professional hair dressing skills. Danny loved horses and showed his champions at the Illinois State Fair and won multiple state accolades over the years.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 8, 4 – 6 p.m. at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. There will be a private family burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Macomb at a later date.

The family requests, that in lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the First Presbyterian Church Loaves and Fishes Program or the MDH Hospice Program.
