William A. “Bill ,” “Pop,” Carl died unexpectedly Feb. 4, 2016, with his loving wife Lorraine by his side.  Bill was the son of the late Elgie and Ethel Carl of Hampton. 
He is also survived by sister, Myra and brother, Gary, as well as children, Brian, Deanna, Mike and Lisa; and stepchildren; Barbara, Linda, Marvin, Joseph and Jimmy. He has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service celebrating Bill’s life will be held Saturday, March 5, 6 p.m. at Smithfield Christian Church, 18420 Battery Park Road, Smithfield.
