Dylan Cade Brockwell

Dylan Cade Brockwell, 22, of Smithfield, passed away March 3, 2016. He was born on Jan. 26, 1994 in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Jamie Roy Brockwell; sister, Joely Lauren Brockwell; girlfriend, Liz Brooks; grandparents: Roane and Betty Brockwell of Disputanta and Bessie Roy of Sweetwater, Tenn.; and great-grandmother, Ethel Blankeship of Burrowsville.
Dylan worked at Coastal RV in Carrollton. He had completed courses at Tidewater Community College and was recently accepted to the mechanical engineering program at Virginia Tech. He was a member of the Ole Hickory Hunt Club in Disputanta and enjoyed duck, turkey and deer hunting with friends. He raced dirt karts in multiple racing series, winning numerous races and championships. Other hobbies included: fishing, archery and iRacing. Dylan was always eager to mentor young racers/hunters and assist others to be their best.

A memorial service celebrating Dylan’s life will be held Thursday, March 10, 6 p.m., at Smithfield Baptist Church, 100 Wainwright Dr., Smithfield, VA 23430.
