Joyce Massie Swartz, 74, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016. Joyce was a lifelong Virginia resident. 

Joyce is survived by her loving husband William M. Swartz; a son Jeffrey J. Massie; daughter Jennifer D. Leighty; four stepsons, Richard Morgan, Paul, Ronald and James Swartz; a stepdaughter Nancy Belcher and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 31, at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 1, at 11 a.m. in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk.
