Doris Lerelene Jones went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 18, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Jones; father, Rufus L. Sexton; mother, Alethia Spruill Sexton; and granddaughter, Melanie Meadows DeGroft.

Lerelene grew up on the Portlock area of Chesapeake, graduated with honors from Portlock High School and attended Radford College and Kee’s Business School. She retired from PERA as a contract specialist after 30 year of service in the Department of the Navy. She was a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church.

Lerelene has always been a dedicated worker, whether serving her Lord in church or in her government job. She loved her Lord Jesus Christ, her husband, family and church family. She also enjoyed shopping and was always a fashionista. She was loved by all and will be sorely missed.
