RICHMOND — Brenda Dunning Tew, 69, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Parham Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond after a courageous battle with cancer. A native of Rescue, Brenda was the daughter of the late Leroy Sr. and Nellie Gray Dunning.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her brothers, Keith Dunning and Pat Dunning, and sisters Virginia M. Dunning, Ruth D. Thompson and Janice D. Martin.

Brenda is survived by her son, Chris Wells (Joyce) and daughter, Nancy W. Keefe (Jay); a brother, Leroy Dunning Jr. (Lynn) and sister Irene D. Buchanan (Henry). She also leaves behind three cherished grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Riverview United Methodist Church, PO Box 288, Rescue, VA 23424. Burial will be private.
