WINDSOR — Anna Barlow Elliott, 86, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016. A native and lifelong resident, Anna was born in Isle of Wight County and was the daughter of the late Georgie Adams and James Judson Barlow. One of 11 children, seven boys and four girls, Anna was preceded in death by her siblings and also by her husband of 66 years, Walter Henry Elliott.
A beloved mother and grandmother, Anna leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, Wayne Randolph Elliott; two granddaughters, Ann Marie Elliott and Amy Elliott Vick and her husband Davis; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
Anna was a member of Central Hill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and played the piano and organ from 1957 to 2011. She was a homemaker and enjoyed watching hummingbirds and gardening.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation 6:30 -7:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, in Colonial Funeral Home. A service celebrating Anna’s life will be held at 11 am., Saturday, Aug. 27, in the funeral home with the Rev. Brad Jones officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Memorial Park.
