Frances H. Whitney

Frances H. Whitney, 92, went home to be with her savior Dec. 3, 2016.  Fran was born Feb. 24, 1924 in Drewryville to the late Bessie and Henry Harris, and is the widow of R.S. “Hoss” Whitney Sr. Though such an intelligent person, she was a loving and great friend to many, both the young and the experienced.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Linda Whitley, William “Bill” Renn, Bobby Whitney Jr. and twins Wendy Wylie and Jackie Lackmeyer; six granddaughters, seven grandsons, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

As an individual unafraid to forge ahead, she was the retired civilian administrator of the NCIC (National Crime Information Center), a computer analyst, member of the Fraternal Order of Elks – Boca Raton 2166, held past offices in the California Recreational Vehicle Association and the Southern California Association of Government.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital or the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad.
