Richard Charles Brayshaw Jr. of Smithfield died unexpectedly on June 16, 2018. He was 54 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Brayshaw, and their three children, Dusty Fenton, William Brayshaw and Camille Brayshaw. Richard is also survived by his four siblings as well as his in-laws and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Frances Brayshaw.

Richard was born in Oceanside, New York and grew up in Warner, New Hampshire. He received a BA in Philosophy at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut. Richard savored life and those around him. This was complemented by his talents as a writer, artist, philosopher, designer and musician.

A memorial service will be held on June 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pumphery Funeral Homes, 7557 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland.
