Big band music comes to Main Street Friday with a performance by the Williamsburg Classic Swing Orchestra.

The 16-piece authentic big band, led by Dru Stowe, plays swing music from the height of the swing era, the 1930s and ’40s, as well as contemporary big band music.

The Friday concert will begin at 8 p.m. on the Gazebo Stage at 228 Main Street, and is part of the Summer Concert Series.

All series concerts are free to the public and are sponsored by The Smithfield Times and the Isle of Wight Arts League.
