Warren Vinson Ellis, 77, of Smithfield, passed away on July 13, 2020. He was the son of the late Robert Roy Ellis and Mildred Futrell Ellis.

He is survived by his wife, Tracey Linehan Ellis; sons, Mark Ellis, Michael Ellis (JoAnne), Christopher Ellis (Robin), Steven Ellis (Sumalee) and Barrett Enix (Tara); eight grandchildren, Patrick Ellis, Mikayla Ellis McRae, Alexander Ellis, Harlan Ellis, Karissa Ellis, Courtney Ellis, Trevor Ellis and Declan Enix; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Ben Ellis (Gerry); and his beloved puppies, Sparky, JoJo and Marvin.

Mr. Ellis graduated from Warwick High School class of 1960. He then went on to work at Newport News Shipbuilding, where he retired after 47 years of service. He enjoyed working on custom cars, woodworking and boating.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2020. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Isle of Wight County Animal Shelter or the Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department.
