It is with profound sadness the family of Margarette “Maggie” C. Minga acknowledges her passing on April 25, 2021.  

Mrs. Minga was the daughter of the late Erby Albert Powell and Ida Marshall Powell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Melvin Lee Minga; and is survived by three sons, Michael Minga (Scott), Timothy Minga (Kim) and Todd Minga (Meredith); grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsay, Kaitlyn, Blanton. Ashlyn and Maris. 

She was a lifelong member of Benn’s United Methodist Church, a member of The Red Hat Society and of the Carisbrooke Women’s Club. She enjoyed working with crafts and participating in many other activities throughout the community. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021, at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk.
