Larry W. Mizelle, 75, passed away on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, in Windsor.

Larry was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, on Jan. 5, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Virginia Mizelle, and sister-in-law, Sandy Mizelle. He is survived by his wife, Brita Mizelle, three sons, Justin and wife, Susan, Reid and fiancé, Taylor Strange, Parker and significant other, Courtney Buchanan, bonus daughters, Jessica Birch and husband, Bruce, Emily Flynn and husband, Jason, six grandchildren and one brother, David Mizelle.

During Larry’s life he was active in many service organizations. He was a past member of the Peninsula Football Officials Association. He played and coached fast pitch softball for many years. He served as a Scoutmaster for Troop 25 for 10 years. He will be missed by his wife and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, Hospice of Virginia, or any type of children’s sports program.
