Melinda S. Harris, beloved daughter of the late Col. Elsey Harris Jr. and M. Carroll Harris of Smithfield, died in Virginia Beach, VA on February 27, 2022. She was born Oct. 11, 1951 in El Paso, TX.

She is survived by her sister Carroll Harris of Raleigh, NC and her brother Elsey A. Harris III and his wife, Amelia J. Harris of Norton, VA, and their three sons, B. Todd Harris and his wife, Leah Brewer of Centreville, VA, Andrew J. Harris and his wife, Kayla Burns Harris of Centerville, OH, and Cragin K. Harris of Norton, VA.

She will be greatly missed.
