Wade Collins, 79, died July 2, 2022.  Other than his first eleven years in Creswell, North Carolina, he was a lifelong resident of Smithfield, Virginia.  Wade was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Stone Collins; parents, Wade Hampton and Ruby Phelps Collins; and brother, Dural R. Collins.  He was a retired nuclear pipe welding supervisor at Newport News Shipbuilding.  He was a doting grandfather and great-grandfather.

Wade was survived by two sons, Jeffery W. Collins and Jamison N. Collins (Melissa); three grandchildren, Joseph W. Collins (Meranda), Kasey Wade Collins and Kayleigh Grace Collins and one great-grandchild, Landon Jace Collins.

A memorial service was held at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, North Suffolk, on Saturday, July 9.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Hemophilia Foundation.  www.SturtevantFH.com
