Ennis Mill Road (Route 690) reopened to traffic on Sept. 9 following the early completion of a bridge replacement over Lake Prince and Ennis Pond.

The road connects Five Forks Road with Route 460 near the town of Windsor.

Virginia Department of Transportation contractor crews replaced the existing bridge with a pre-stressed concrete box beam bridge, with permanent sheet pile walls widened to 23 feet and lengthened to 59 feet. The roadway was also widened to match the bridge approaches in both directions.
