Richard “Dick” Gutleber, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2022.  He was born on February 9, 1943, in Allentown, Pennsylvania to the late John and Francine Gutleber.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Gutleber; daughter, Kristine Ann Blados; sons, Rick Gutleber (Jennifer) and Jonathan Gutleber (Tammy); grandchildren, Ian, Simon, Ben (Ashley), Francine, Jeremy, Zachary, Andrew, Chloe and Charlotte; brother, David Scott Gutleber (Cheryl); and nephews, Scott and Stephen.

Dick was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and cousin, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  He was always physically active whether walking with the Soaring Eagles, playing tennis at Riverside or swimming at Midtown.  His witty personality always kept us on our feet.

Dick was a graduate of Penn State University and retired as a professional engineer with Dominion Virginia Power in 2001.  He was always active in his community, with years of volunteering with the Mary Washington Hospital Medical Corporation Board, Kiwanis, and United Way.  Dick was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Smithfield, serving as an usher and Eucharistic minister.
