Randy Sene, 88, of Smithfield VA completed his earthly journey at his home surrounded by loved ones on July 30, 2024. He was the son of the late Joe and Ruby Sene. Randy served briefly in the Army, retired from the Newport News Shipyard as an outside machinist, worked at Minton’s Grocery Store, and volunteered in the cafeteria at Smithfield Middle School. He loved to work his garden, was a great mechanic, loved his family and was always willing to help others. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Smithfield.

Randy leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 20 years, Margaret Sene, his son Randy Sene, Jr. (Susan), and daughters Teresea Soule (Paul) and Kimberly Baker (Dennis) all of Smithfield; and stepchildren Deborah and Butch. He also leaves his sisters Margaret Beavers, Carol Jones (James), and Sharon Jones (Elmer); eight grandchildren: George, Michael, and Abigail; Stacey and Amber; and Kristina, Melody, and Brandy; and 14 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and other family, as well as his fur baby Bitzie. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Jeannette Sene, and his siblings Elizabeth Jones and Paul (Buddy) Sene. The family wants to extend a special Thank You to the loving caregivers from Riverside Hospice and Sheila Beacham’s Home Services.

A funeral service will be held at Bethany Methodist Church in Smithfield on Monday, August 5, at 2 PM with Pastor Chris Andres presiding and burial following in St. Lukes Memorial Park.
