Smithfield High School’s Choraliers recently held their first rehearsal at Christ Episcopal Church ahead of their annual Christmas in Smithfield concert. This year’s performances are set for Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
For the past five years, the Choraliers have presented their Christmas concert at Historic St. Luke’s Church & Museum. This year, they have moved the venue to Christ Episcopal Church, located at 111 S. Church St., in downtown Smithfield.
Known for their a cappella singing in four parts, these young musicians have developed a following with standing-room-only capacity at their concerts. Each year, the Choraliers must reorganize as new students audition to fill the vacancies left by graduating seniors.
Tickets go on sale Oct. 1 at eventbrite.com under “Sundays at Four.” All tickets are $10 and are purchased for a specific date and time. Seats are not reserved and seating is limited.
Tickets will also be sold at the door for any available seats.
The concert is supported by Christ Episcopal’s Sundays at Four classical music program.
