- Six candidates are seeking four available seats on Smithfield's Town Council in the November elections.
The Smithfield Times’ biannual Smithfield Town Council candidate forum will begin at 6 p.m. today at The Smithfield Center. Barring any lingering complications from the widespread Spectrum internet outage earlier today, the forum will be livestreamed on the town Facebook page, linked here.
