A person is in critical condition following a shooting at Woods Edge Apartments.

Smithfield Police say the shooting occurred in the early hours of Feb. 8. Officers found a single victim with multiple gunshot wounds, who was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police had previously identified the location as Jersey Park Apartments, which is adjacent to Woods Edge and shares access via Wrenn Road.

The department is actively investigating the incident and is urging anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who can provide details can call the department at 757-357-3247.
