The Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Portsmouth man with facilitating the download of child pornography.

Deputies arrested 43-year-old Jacob McReynolds on March 26, charging him with 10 counts of producing, distributing or financing child pornography. 

According to a news release, the arrest is the result of an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office’s Special Investigations Unit in coordination with the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Naval Criminal Investigative Services and Portsmouth Police Department.

McReynolds is being held at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail with no bond.
