Friday night’s installment of the Downtown Smithfield Summer Concert Series  was canceled after the National Weather Service placed Isle of Wight County under a Tornado Watch until midnight.

The Smithfield Little Theatre had been scheduled to perform “Broadway on Main,” a collection of classic and contemporary show tunes.

The Summer Concert Series will resume next Friday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. with bluesman Bobby BlackHat performing on the Main Street Square stage in front of The Smithfield Times office.
