A section of Great Spring Road in Smithfield will reopen early on June 5 at 2 p.m.

Town Manager Michael Stallings said the town-administered project that involved replacing a culvert under the road was completed ahead of schedule. The work, which began June 2, was initially expected to take up to a week.
