IW Sheriff’s Office, Animal Services units converge on home near Jones Creek Boat Ramp

A multi-unit enforcement presence has been reported in the vicinity of the 11500 block of Smiths Neck Road in Carrollton.
Master Deputy Alecia Paul, a spokeswoman for the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office, confirmed at 10:22 a.m. on June 16 that multiple units were on-scene at the address but shared few details.
“This was a planned operation and the public does not need to be alarmed,” Paul said.
The address corresponds to a residence near the Jones Creek Boat Ramp.
As of a few minutes after 11 a.m., an Animal Services vehicle and at least one deputy were still on-scene.
