4-H livestock show Sunday

Those who missed their Isle of Wight County Fair fix due to Hurricane Florence have an opportunity to catch a bit of the rural fun on Sunday. 

The Isle of Wight County 4-H is hosting its livestock show featuring heifers, rabbits and poultry, goats and feeder pigs at the Joel C. Bradshaw Fairgrounds in Windsor on Sunday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Heifers will show at 10 a.m., followed by rabbits and poultry at noon, goats at 2 p.m. and feeder pigs at 4 p.m.

Attendees are urged to bring a lawn chair and pack a lunch and snacks.

The show is sponsored by the Isle of Wight County office of the Virginia Cooperative Extension. Those with disabilities who want to participate and need assistance can call Teresa Vaughan at 365-6162 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. five days prior to the event. The TDD number is 800-828-1120.
