Former School Board Chairman Kent Hildebrand was released on a $25,000 secured bond after a hearing Thursday afternoon.

A person who answered the phone Monday afternoon at the park’s office said Hildebrand wasn’t there but declined to say whether he had been fired or reassigned.
Hildebrand allegedly defrauded Jackson after she gave him access to her checking account to help pay her bills, according to the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office.
The reported thefts occurred between February 2008 and March 2015.
Hildebrand faces 17 felony charges: 15 counts of grand larceny, one count of identity theft and one count of credit card fraud.
He was arrested July 20 at Red Oaks and was being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail until his bond hearing Thursday afternoon.
Hildebrand’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17, 1 p.m. in Isle of Wight General District Court. {/mprestriction}
