Dear valued subscribers a couple of weeks ago we at the Smithfield Times launched this new website. This has been a project that we have worked on for many months in the hope of bringing a more convenient and enriched digital experience to our valued subscribers.
Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties in upgrading our old site’s database of users to the more modern system, we lost a number of users’ login information and had to issue them new usernames and passwords. We realize that this issue has caused a great deal of inconvenience and frustration for our users. It pains us greatly that something we intended to ease and improve our subscribers’ experience on the web has in some instances done the complete opposite. We want to apologize for the inconveniences we have caused. Please rest assured that we are doing everything in our power to correct these issues. And we will continue striving to improve your experience as a subscriber to The Smithfield Times.
