A big congratulations to Mary Cole for receiving “2015 Grace Keen Distinguished Community Service Award” this past week at The Annual Meeting & Award Reception through Isle of Wight Smithfield Windsor Chamber of Commerce, held at Smithfield Foods Corporate Offices.

Mary Cole was recognized as founder and managing director of “Sundays at Four” classical and performing art series. She also leads our area for her outstanding service to local churches and community, in diligence, educating and promoting classical music and performing arts.

As an artist, I am inspired and in awe of Mary Cole, her life and example. Her steadfastness in cultural events in our community and region is spectacular and encourages me strongly to keep the “Arts Alive” in Smithfield.
