It is voting time in Isle of Wight County and I’m voting for Vicky Hulick for the Newport District School Board seat. My reasons for voting for Mrs. Hulick are based on the following considerations.

1. She has been active at the School Board meetings for the past two years and understands the needs of Isle of Wight schools. She is knowledgeable about the budget process and understands the importance of accurately assessing the funding requirements for our school system.

2. She has supported our schools through the PTA at her children’s school. She understands that education has to last a lifetime and will guide policy that prepares children for their future needs. Children come first with her.

3. She has a positive attitude and will be a problem solver. She is a listener and will make decisions based on facts, not on personal opinion.

4. She is a seasoned science teacher and a fulltime mom of three children. Her oldest child attends Carrollton Elementary, where Mrs. Hulick is active with the PTA.

5. Mrs. Hulick is active in the county and supports our schools with the Board of Supervisors.

Please support Mrs. Hulick with your vote for the Newport District School Board seat.
