I opposed Dee Dee Darden the first time she ran for the Board of Supervisors because I felt her reasons were not based on the best interests of the county. However, after observing her actions and votes for the past four y ears, I now believe her decisions are based on facts and sound reasoning of the county’s needs for the present and future.

Mrs. Darden:

• Has gained significant knowledge of the financial management of the county and relies on that knowledge in her decisions.

• Has supported the school system, students and teachers over the past four years.

• Has recognized that appropriate changes in the operations of the county are needed if the county is to maintain our culture in future years.

• Has come to understand that Isle of Wight will continue to grow and that management of that growth is very important.
