Supporting Hulick

A group of my Gatling Point South neighbors and I were very fortunate to have the opportunity recently to meet with Vicky Hulick. I have children that attend Carrollton Elementary and am very involved with their education. I wanted to meet with Mrs. Hulick and find out why she was interested in serving on the school board. I was very impressed with everything I learned. Like me, she has a child that attends Carrollton Elementary and two younger children that will eventually go there too. She has also been a teacher. I feel this gives her two different perspectives of the education system and a vested interest in the decisions that are made by the board.

As a stay at home mom also, I know how challenging and time consuming that can be; yet she still finds time to join the Isle of Wight Civic League, serve on the Gatling Point South’s Homeowner’s Board, and go to the schools in the county and meet with all the principals and various other community leaders.

When you talk to Vicky Hulick, you know she is listening to you. She responds to you with an informed answer. She is serious about this campaign and the future of the children in Isle of Wight. I know I want involved parents of Isle of Wight students on my school board because I know they will fight for the best interest of their children and mine too.
