Her goal is to make all schools in Isle of Wight fully accredited and ranked in the top ten or higher state wide. She would stop overspending tax dollars by busing Special Ed students to Norfolk. Do it here, make room. It’s costly and physically taxing on the children.

She would allow home-schooled children to participate in public school sports. She wants to develop Magnet and Governor’s Schools here and build a government-funded charter school to give students a choice.

She wants to offer more college credits in high school, place more volunteers in the classrooms to help our over burdened teachers and write more grants. There are thousands of Grants out there giving away thousands of dollars. One part-time Grant writer cannot do it alone.

She would recognize and reward teachers for their hard work.

Kimberly Winget is an intelligent, hard working and forthright person who knows what it takes to make our School System great. Isle of Wight School Board needs a person like Kimberly and will be lucky to have her.
