Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Wetlands Board will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, November 16, 2015, to consider the following application:

The request of Colonial Pipeline Company (CPC) to perform required maintenance to an existing 16” diameter underground petroleum pipeline. This pipeline is identified as Line 27 and is owned and operated by CPC. Line 27 is located in a single right-of-way, which traverses through Isle of Wight County and crosses the Champion Swamp Creek Marsh at a point, approximately 3,000 feet north of Scott’s Factory Road (Rt. 620) and 1,600 feet east of Great Spring Road (Rt. 655).

 

A copy of the request materials are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning, 17140 Monument Circle, Suite 201, Isle of Wight Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia and are available for public examination.

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his views with respect to the aforesaid application may appear before and be heard by said Board during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room, 17140 Monument Circle, Isle of Wight Courthouse, Isle of Wight, Virginia, on said day beginning at 6:00 P.M.

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, November 19, 2015 to consider the following: 

 

An ordinance to amend and reenact the following sections of the Isle of Wight County Code, Appendix A, Subdivisions: Article 3, Administration and Procedures; in order to make updates enacted by the state legislature.

 

An ordinance to amend and reenact the following sections of the Isle of Wight County Code, Appendix B, Zoning: Article I, General Provisions; Article II, Interpretations and Basic Definitions; in order to make updates enacted by the state legislature.

 

An ordinance to amend and reenact the Isle of Wight County Code by amending and reenacting Appendix B, Zoning, Section 2-1002, Definitions, and Section 6-4004, Floodplain Management Overlay District, Use Regulations and General Provisions, to comply with FEMA regulations by expanding the flood zone definitions and updating use regulations and general provisions affecting the floodway, Zone A, Zone AE and the Coastal A Zone.

 

A proposed water line for the delivery of public water to the Gatling Pointe subdivision, as more specifically identified as “Alternative Route No. 5” and shown in that Preliminary Engineering Report, dated August 21, 2015, as prepared by WW Associates.

 

Copies of said ordinance amendments and preliminary engineering report are on file in the Department of Planning and Zoning at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex, Isle of Wight, Virginia, and is available for public examination.

 

Any person desiring to be heard in favor of, in opposition to, or to express his or her views with respect to said ordinance amendments and proposed water line may appear before and be heard by said Board of Supervisors during the Public Hearing to be held in the Robert C.
