Patricia “Patti” West Williams, 61, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015.  Patti was a native and lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County.  She was the daughter of the late Randolph West and is survived by her mother and dad, Helen Griffin Barrett and Fred Barrett Jr.  She also leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 36 years, Wendell “Wendy” G. Williams; three sons, Eddie, Van and his wife, Sarah, and Griffin and his wife, Kayla; grandchildren, Phillip, Noah, Hudson, Drake, Grey and expected Baby Williams; her sister, Luann Scott and her husband, Everette; and brother William West and his wife, Lucy; and many extended family and friends.

Patti was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She will be remembered as a peacemaker.  For many years, Patti had a daycare in her home.  Her home was the home to many boys and girls who affectionately called her “Miss Patti” or “MomMom.”  Patti’s greatest accomplishment and gift in life was the love and care she took of her family; also, she shared her love with many of her daycare kids. At the time of her death, Patti was the office manager at West Sportswear.  Patti was a member of Trinity UMC, Smithfield.  In times past, she played softball with the church league.  More recently, Patti enjoyed travel and trips to the Outer Banks.
