Dilsey Maryliza “Cuty” Ricks passed away Dec. 11, 2015 at Sentara Obici in Suffolk. Born on Sept. 7, 1924, she was married to the late Willie M. Ricks. She was a native of Surry County and was preceded in death by one son, Robert L. Bailey Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Charles W. Bailey (Mary) and Melvin R. Bailey, both of Wakefield and Terrance N. Ricks (Rachel) of Suffolk; daughters, Earnestine Ricks of Dinwiddie and Barbara Ricks of Wakefield; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law; and the Oak Grove Baptist Church family. 
A public viewing will be held Friday, Dec. 18, 6-8 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Wakefield. A funeral service follows on Saturday, Dec. 19, noon at the church.
