Charles Thomas Greene, 82, passed away Feb. 18, 2016 peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Union County, N.C., and moved to Hampton in 1963, where he owned and operated G&G Tile.  He later moved to Smithfield in 1981. He attended Uzzell United Methodist Church.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jane Cox Greene; his daughter, Shelley Jones (Steve) of Zuni; son, Mark Greene of Smithfield; two granddaughters, Nicole Kempton of Windsor, and Lindsay Bowles (Stewart) of Lanexa; great-grandson Noah Searcy and extended family in North Carolina.

A graveside funeral service was held at Lakeland Memorial Park, Monroe, N.C. Monday, Feb. 22. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held March 6, 1:30-3:30 p.m. at 11213 Country Way (Charles and Jane’s Home), Smithfield.
