HURT — Linda Gail Dalton Frilles, 62, of Hurt died Friday, March 18, 2016 at her residence.

She was born June 9, 1953 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Berkley Ira Dalton and Lena Margaret Farmer Dalton.   She was a member of Motley United Methodist Church, and a retired teacher for Isle of Wight County schools with more than 33 years of service. Linda was an avid reader and loved the “Beatles.”

She is survived her son, Joseph “Joey” Frilles of Hurt; a brother, Brian Keith “Keebo” Dalton and his wife Stacey of Hurt; a niece, Kimberly Dalton Davis and her husband Robert and their children, Hunter and Harley of Amherst; and her loveable companion, Josh.        

She was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Wayne Dalton.

The family wishes to thank Linda’s special caregiver, Jennifer Reynolds, for all the love and compassion shown to her over the years.

A funeral service was held March 21 at Motley United Methodist Church by the Rev. Steve Morris and the Rev. Dr. R. A. “ Dick” Daily with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
