Cleveland “Cleve” Lee Hall Jr., 91, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016.  Cleve was a native and lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County and the son of the late Cleveland L. Sr., and Eunice Britt Hall.  Born to a family of nine siblings, in addition to his parents, Cleve is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ristagno.  

Cleve leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 63 years, Mildred Darden Hall; four daughters, Karen Kessler (Larry), Kim Cornett (Jack), Karla West (Judson), and Krista Jones (John); 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Eunice Appelman, Olive Gwaltney, Rea Hall, and Cherry Keith; brothers, Rev. Robert Hall (Faye) Earl Hall, Frank Hall (Patricia), and Phillip Hall; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.  

For over 42 years, Cleve owned and operated Hall Electronics and Village Music, Ltd. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy, Isle of Wight Avengers Camp #14, Smithfield, the Smithfield Rotary Club, the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Deptment and Trinity United Methodist Church. Cleve will be remembered for his love of family, music and history.

A service celebrating Cleve’s life will be held Friday, April 29, 2 p.m., in Colonial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Memorial Park.  Family and friends will gather for visitation until the service on Friday at 12:30 p.m.
