Elizabeth Foster Braswell, 86, passed away July 3, 2016.  She was born in Meherrin, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William F. Foster.  She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Charles “Tom” Braswell; sisters Elma Umphlette, Annie Mae Dunnavant and Fannie Foster; and brothers Charlie, Zach, Harry, Willie and Marion Foster.  She was a member of Antioch Church in Windsor where she actively served as a Sunday school teacher and on numerous other committees. 

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Raymond Brock; son Lofton Braswell; grandchildren, Charles Brock (Brooke), Katie Zephir, Lucas Braswell (Savannah), Jesse Braswell, and Kristie Braswell Miller (Michael); great-grandchildren, Grayson, Maddison, Thomas, Leeanne and Weston; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Church, 23011 Antioch Road in Windsor with Pastor Lindsay Poteat and Pastor John Hunter officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Friends may join the family Tuesday night for a visitation from 6-8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory.  Memorial donations may be made to the Antioch Church Missions Fund, P.O.
