Country and folk singer-songwriter Angela Easterling takes the stage Friday, July 8.

The concert begins at 8 p.m. on the Smithfield Times gazebo stage in downtown Smithfield.

The concert is free. Bring a chair or blanket for added comfort.

The South Carolina native latest release, “Common Law Wife” is an autobiographical tribute to her family, as well as civil rights inspired songs based on true events in her home state.

This is the Summer Concert Series’ 30th season. Sponsored by The Smithfield Times and the Isle of Wight Arts League, the event provides free entertainment each Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
