Country-folk music performers Kim Person and Lana Puckett take the stage Friday, July 15 with a straight from the heart performance.

The concert begins at 8 p.m. on the Smithfield Times gazebo stage in downtown Smithfield.

The concert is free. Bring a chair or blanket for added comfort.

Named best traditional vocalist for Virginia, the Yorktown-based pair has toured extensively around the United States, and have been the opening act for Janis Ian, Pam Rose, Chuck Pyle and the Kingston Trio.

This is the Summer Concert Series’ 30th season. Sponsored by The Smithfield Times and the Isle of Wight Arts League, the event provides free entertainment each Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
