A Smithfield Little Theatre variety show takes the stage Friday as part of the summer concert series.

The show begins at 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 5 at The Smithfield Times gazebo stage on Main Street in downtown Smithfield. The Theatre’s variety shows were a staple of the summer series two decades ago, and the SLT agreed to organize a similar show to help celebrate the concert series’ 30th season.

Friday’s concert will feature songs from various Broadway musicals and samplings from SLT’s most recent show, “Little Women;” the upcoming show, “Children of Eden,” and the Summer Youth Project show, “The Nifty Fifties!”
