It is with great sadness that I share the loss of my husband, John P. Brown, III, on August 29, 2016.  John is survived by his parents, John and Jean Brown of Smithfield, by his sister Kim Anderson and her husband, Steve, also of Smithfield, by six terrific nieces and nephews, Aubrey Odom (her husband Bill), Jonathan Anderson (his wife Heather, and children Olivia and Benjamin), Abigail Anderson, Elijah Anderson, Micah Anderson and Paul Anderson, by me, his wife, Sarah Palamara, and by extended members of the Brown and Palamara families.

John’s burial arrangements are private, at his request.  Many thanks for the prayers, thoughts and spiritual support from those who knew of our medical journey these last months and since John’s death.  Special thanks for the exceptional care and compassion John received from his surgeon, surgical team, cardiologists, primary care physician, and the SICU and Cardiac Telemetry staffs, all affiliated with Riverside Hospital in Newport News.  John loved his family, his country, the natural world and the Washington Redskins.  In memoriam, please contribute to a charity of your choice, or take an extra moment in your day to appreciate someone special to you.
