Hilda Washington Robinson

SUFFOLK—Hilda Washington Robinson, 93, passed away on Oct. 4, 2016. She was born in Smithfield to the late William and Olive Washington. Hilda was an Eastern Star Past Matron of Mt. Sani Chapter 18. She was also a member of the Suffolk Woman’s Club and a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Portsmouth. Hilda is remembered for her love of music playing and teaching the piano as well as singing. She was the author of “The Washington more than a thousand years.” Hilda is predeceased by her husband of 65 years Thomas Robinson. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons Thomas W. Robinson (Marva) of Chesapeake, Patrick Neal Robinson of Providence Forge and David Dean Robinson of Suffolk; four grandsons, one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren and other loving family members. 
A funeral service will be held Oct. 11, 11 a.m. at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk with Dr. Thurman Hayes Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday Oct. 10, 6 – 7:30 p.m. and Eastern Star rites will be rendered.
