Georgia “Toni” Warren Jones

Georgia “Toni” Warren Jones, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016.  She was the daughter of the late Dr. George Hugh Warren and the late Virginia Cofer Warren. Toni was preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, James Jason “JJ” Jones, her brother, Dr. George Hugh Warren Jr. and grandson Hunter Scott Liebold. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Frederick L. Liebold III and Scott W. Liebold (Kim); daughter, Sheri L. Crocker (Neal); grandchildren, Nathan Liebold (mother Estrella), Samantha Liebold, Daniel Crocker and Dana Crocker; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Toni was a lifelong member of Smithfield Baptist Church and worked as a bookkeeper at various local businesses from 1957 until retiring in 1999 from the town of Smithfield after fifteen years of service.  She was a true Smithfield native having been born in the family home on Main Street.  Toni graduated from Smithfield High School in 1955 and attended William and Mary College.  She was an avid bridge player and loved to paint.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Connito and his associates at Riverside Renal Specialists and the staff of RAI Renal Care Center in Smithfield for their support and care over the last ten years.  In addition, the family extends a special thank you to the staff and residents of Magnolia Manor in Smithfield who provided her with loving care and friendship during her time there.

A life celebration will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16 at Smithfield Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Don Rhoton officiating.  A reception will immediately follow in the Family Life Center of the church.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a memorial donation to the Hunter S. Liebold Scholarship Fund, which can be sent to Bethany United Methodist Church, c/o Raymond Edwards, 13088 Mill Swamp Road, Smithfield, VA 23430 or the charity of your choice.
